Painting Day

So this is the post I promised you I will give in my previous post....

That day was a fine sunny day, which is very good opportunity for me to make some artwork outside in my so-called "garden". I am in the mood for painting plants and flowers. So first, I need to get the tools ready  for drawing!

These are the tools I needed today! They are my Titi Watercolor in various colors, then my painting palette, a cup for filling water, watercolor brushes, pencils and eraser (inside the bunny pencilcase) and there's my Blackberry and earphones, the essential thing for drawing!! Because music really helps you to calm down and express your feelings to the art.

just a random shot I took.

THEN DRAWING STARTS NOW.

Okay, now I've started coloring it from the leaves.

AND

AFTER LONG HOURS OF PATIENCE AND HARDWORK..............

 IT'S FINALLY DONEE!! YAYYYY

AH, what a good feeling i got from finishing this work. I am so happy to see the result! :D But I think that the color for the leaves are a bit wrong... Love the shading I did for the pot though, I think I did a good job that day because I never actually did painting like this..

Till next time.

IU

Have you guys heard of IU? She is a korean singer, and she's my favorite solo singer~ She doesn't belong in any bands. I heard that the management purposely do it because her voice is unique, and she won't sound good if she sings with other people. Her voice sounds good when she sings alone. So anyway, this is what she looks like if you don't know..

See how cute and pretty she is!! :D I was practicing my face proportion drawing that time, and I thought of myself since I like IU so much, why not do a potrait of her? So finally I drew her and this is the result!
It sucks... and doesn't look like her LOL but I don't care
Im quite proud of it since I put an effort in drawing it..

Looks so different but oh well...
I just need to keep practicing because practice makes perfect.

Till next time.

Hey, Sexy Lady~

I was just practicing myself to draw hair strand by strand. Looks really easy but actually it's hard. I feel that my hair strand is too thick. It should be a very thin and fine lines so it makes a smooth texture. The idea of why I tried drawing hair like this is because I saw people's instagrams and many of them illustrate the hair using this technique. I usually draw hairs in a different way but I tried this way because it looks really nice. This is the result of my practice~
This is supposed to look sexy and tempting. Does it look like that?

Actually, I was about to use this work as my portfolio for university. This was also supposed to be in color, however it was just too plain to be my portfolio so I decided not to use this, that's why I left it like this and didn't color it.
I really love to draw and illustrate girls. Well not a realistic drawing, but in a graphical and cartoon-ish way of drawing. It just gives me the passion and feeling when drawing their face and hair. That's why Im gonna practice some more until I can draw a perfectly smooth and beautiful hair texture. So, until next time~

First attempt using SAI: Origami Girl

Hi, as you can see from the title above.... This is my first work using SAI. I can say that I'm actually quite proud with this work. I feel that the result is quite nice.. However I feel that the shading is a bit wrong. I didn't have any lesson or course in how to color with SAI, so I learned it by myself from videos in YouTube .It's quite easy I think, but it takes quite a time to finish coloring all of them.
This drawing is about a girl releasing an origami paper bird out from the window. It is just a random idea that pops out from my head. I love to draw and doodle a girl that's why most of my drawings are girls. This work was meant to be a portfolio, and it needs to be different types of work, like using watercolor, digital media, pastel, collage, and other. So I had an idea to try coloring a drawing using digital media such as SAI, because I've heard my friends said that this program is good. So that's why I learned to color using SAI from internet.

The picture below is a screenshot when the work was being done...

You can comment or critique on what you think about this drawing, but please give me a good critique not bashing or mocking my work. I think that's all. Bye~
