Avatar Designs for Crunchyroll

I used to be active in this site called www.Crunchyroll.com . It is kind of a site where you can watch anime movies, but I never watch it there. I usually talks, chat, and get to know different people from all around the world. It was really fun back then. I got a lot of friends, mostly they are from Thailand, but some of them are from China, USA, and other. I learned more English when I was active there. The site is kinda cool too, you can personalize your own page and profile in the About Me section. And there's also a lot of people who likes to customize their own avatar using characters from anime mostly.

Editing your own avatar has become so popular in Crunchyroll, that's why I started to learn using Photoshop all by myself from watching videos and asking people. I think I've gotten a lot better in editing rather than back then when I was young. Some people, who can't edit their pictures themselves, or don't have the program, or just simply lazy to do so, usually request their avatar from groups that receive avatar request.

These are some of my works (and yes I need to put on watermark because a lot of thieves in crunchyroll)

NOTE: I have quite a lot of account back then, so that's why some of my works have different names on it.

Border Design for School Magazine "DOMINOS"

Back then in my high school in Jakarta, I was in the school magazine club. I was chosen in the design section. My task is to make borders for the articles inside the magazine. Every month the themes of the magazine varies. When it is August, usually the theme is about Indonesia because Indonesia's Independence Day falls on 17th August. So this is an example of my work with Indonesian culture theme.

NOTE: the pictures used in my borders may be taken from another source. The pictures used are not mine. They are taken from Google.

You can see in the bottom side of the border there are two wayangs. Wayang is one of Indonesia's heritage. There are different types of wayang, like wayang kulit, wayang golek, and wayang orang. I used wayang in the border because it symbolize the Indonesian culture and it's also unique.

These are also other designs with other themes, you can see all down below. Can you guess the themes?

First attempt using SAI: Origami Girl

Hi, as you can see from the title above.... This is my first work using SAI. I can say that I'm actually quite proud with this work. I feel that the result is quite nice.. However I feel that the shading is a bit wrong. I didn't have any lesson or course in how to color with SAI, so I learned it by myself from videos in YouTube .It's quite easy I think, but it takes quite a time to finish coloring all of them.
This drawing is about a girl releasing an origami paper bird out from the window. It is just a random idea that pops out from my head. I love to draw and doodle a girl that's why most of my drawings are girls. This work was meant to be a portfolio, and it needs to be different types of work, like using watercolor, digital media, pastel, collage, and other. So I had an idea to try coloring a drawing using digital media such as SAI, because I've heard my friends said that this program is good. So that's why I learned to color using SAI from internet.

The picture below is a screenshot when the work was being done...

You can comment or critique on what you think about this drawing, but please give me a good critique not bashing or mocking my work. I think that's all. Bye~

Feeling a lil' bit minty

This is just a regular outfit of the day post of mine. I was feeling a little bit girly and minty that day so I chose to wear a skirt and a mint shirt. I chose a black skirt with gold studs on the waist so that the overall look doesn't seem too girly. The bags and the shoes are black too. I am soooo in love with shirts specially when it is chiffon shirts. I just can't stand to buy all cute shirts with white or pastel colors, and currently I'm also obsessed in mint color. That's why some of my things are in this color. You can see my socks there is also in mint color. And I also just bought another cute skirt from Lowry's Farm in mint color. That shop really sells a lot of nice and cute Japanese style clothes. You should check it out, they have quite a lot branches here I think. It is quite pricey but when there's a sale the stuffs become more affordable.
I got the mint top and socks from Forever 21, and the skirt from Indonesia. The rest are unbranded.

Favorite fashion blogger of the week: Mayo Wo

Do you guys know this site called lookbook.nu ? This site have lots of outfit posts that can be inspiration to us all. I personally like to browse on this site to find inspiration or when I'm just bored and I want to see cute outfits and stuff. There are lots of fashion bloggers inside from all around the world. There's this girl named Mayo Wo, and she is a blogger from Hongkong. You can check out her blog at www.mellowmayo.com She is one of my favorite fashion blogger. All of her looks are really cute and inspiring. She also likes to wear a lot of colors, but mostly her style is feminine and girly. She's more into soft colors like pastels. I love the way she mix and match her clothes and accessories. Her stuff is also really cute and unique. She is also really pretty, that's why I like her. This is one of my favorite recent outfit from her.

So I decided to draw her and feature her in my blog.
This is a simple and quick doodle of her wearing this outfit.

Kracie's Popin' Cookin' Sushi Kit : review

So yesterday I went to Bugis Street, and I found this place that sells Japanese and unique stuff, one of them is this. This is a kit for making sushi candy, it is safe to eat (edible). You can see the name in the post title. It is really easy to make and really fun. There are some series available like hamburger set, bento set, ice cream, and many more. But I was really interested in the sushi one so I decided to buy this. I have documented the making process in pictures shown below. You can see all the steps.

Firstly I made the rice candy first. Using some kind of powder, and then just add a bit of water and mix it together. When it is ready it will looks like the picture below.

The rice is done!!

The next step is to add the tamago candy powder (egg) and with the same way mix it with water
The red powder is supposed to be the salmon meat. The step is also the same as before.

When it is done it should look like this. You need to leave it for a while first for the candy to be ready.

And the next step is to make the tobiko (fish roe). Mix the powder with water like before, and drop it inside a special water that will turn liquid into solid. Just as simple as that it is done! Now all you have to do is decorate your sushi!

The size of the sushi candy. It's really small and cute. Inside one box you will get 6 sushi.

Overall, I really enjoy making the sushi and eating it. It was really fun experience and the candy sushi also tastes good. It tastes like pineapple (I think) and grape. However it is quite pricey, I bought one box for $11.90 . But I definitely will buy some more in the future. I am really excited to try different candy set.

Summer Orange

This photo was taken when I was in South Korea for holiday. The outfit is inspired by Korean Jeju oranges. It was the season where all oranges are ready to harvest. It was the finest weather and season to do a photoshoot.
I feel that the colors of the outfit I was wearing are really cheerful, bright and give an energetic feeling. And also in my opinion, orange and green compliments each other. That's why I match this top with a bright vibrant green color. The color of the shirt and the skirt really stands out so I also added a neutral creme color in the cardigan and flat shoes so it doesn't looks too much. Overall, the look is really simple. I didn't add any accessories to it.  I actually got a brown satchel bag but I didn't feature it in the photo.
I got the shirt, skirt and cardigan from a local brand in Indonesia called Gaudi. The shoes are from Charles&Keith.
The location in this photo is on Jeju Island itself. It was at a small village with old traditional Korean houses. I think it is a nice background for self pictures. :D
